7mm PRC anyone?

This chambering came up in a conversation I had yesterday with another member here. He likes it for long-range precision shooting -- for which it was developed. I just came across Craig Boddington's take on the cartridge for hunting. Looks like it makes a lot of sense.

7mm PRC slams game at long range, hits hard and flat. If you hunt beyond 400 yards and reload, this cartridge is a rocket.

I believe that was me. Bill was speaking of My $1100 Begara Wilderness hit 3 out of 4 shots at a mile. I'm looking to upgrade it to a HMR Pro then rebarrel it. What makes it so special is the ballistics, very low drag. The 300 PRC is up there as well but considerable more recoil.

Howard, I'd love to hit 3 out of 4 at a mile with anything. Up at the Whittington Center, the famous White Buffalo is only 1,100 yards out, but ringing it with a black powder cartridge rifle is a dream of mine.
