Hot take: Christmas lights are getting lazy

Maybe I'm just getting old, but it feels like everyone's doing the same basic icicle lights and inflatable decorations now. Where's the creativity? The old-school big bulbs? The effort? Am I wrong or has the quality gone downhill? What's your take on modern Christmas decorating?

I feel the same way. I remember when we used to climb ladders and change light bulbs by hand. Those big, warm lights felt so homey. Now, it's just plug and play and while it’s bright, something is missing, if that makes sense.
