Thinking about keeping ramen in my prep stash. I know it's not the most nutritious, but it's cheap, fills you up, and lasts a good while. I've got a few cases stashed away, but how long do they really last past the date? Is there a better way to store them than just keeping the packs in the box? Anyone else rotate ramen regularly or have cool tricks to make it more useful in a long-term sitch? They seem to last longer than the expiration date, right?

From Grock:
"Dry instant ramen noodles typically last **1–2 years** past the printed expiration date if unopened and stored in a cool, dry place. Once opened, they should be consumed within **a few months** for best quality, provided they're kept in an airtight container. Cooked ramen noodles last **3–5 days** in the fridge or up to **2 months** in the freezer. Signs of spoilage include odd smells, discoloration, or mold. If the seasoning packets contain oil, they may go rancid sooner, so check for off odors."

If you keep the packages dry and in a protective case (plastic), they'll last as long as you need. I like them and keep a few packs around for snacks.
