I carried at 4 o’clock for years and dealt with constant printing and discomfort, especially while driving. I finally tried appendix carry, and everything just clicked. I’d avoided it because of what I’d heard online, but trying it myself proved otherwise. Sometimes you just have to test things and see what actually works for you.

It certainly has advantages. I agree 4 o'clock can be a literal pain along with the printing issue.
But I kind of gave up on appendix after watching Massad Ayoob discuss it. It might be worth reconsidering.

I was always taught that you never point a gun at anything you don't want to destroy.
There are a number of options for a cross-draw which doesn't sweep your body parts: shoulder holsters, holster shirts, and cross-draw or Askins belt holsters.

I've always used appendix carry with my Commander size guns. Just make sure the safety give a good, loud, audible, stiff, 'click'.

And of course, as Frank Galli puts it..."You cant miss fast enought to win a gunfight, get out and practice." Practrice with an empty gun so it will be muscle memory when you need it.

It is amazing how creative holster options get when everyone’s determined not to ventilate themselves.
