Gun buy-back in Abq

Didn't see this coming, but saw the news (TV & newspaper) after the fact. Again, they ran out of money. One of the originators stated for the camera that this way people could get rid of unwanted guns because they don't want to sell them to people you don't know. I guess she is not familiar with NM laws and having to go thru an FFL.
Saw an FAL and an AK variant on the turn-back table. That's alot of money being thrown away.

I've walked this earth for 76 years and its been my experience that contrary to that statement, ignoracnce is almost always, sooner or later, painful.

That just twists my gut. You'd think people would at least go through an FFL, get some real money for them, or just keep them. It's like they're just torching cash to make themselves feel good.
