Guns I bought just to complete a collection

I bought a .40 S&W just because I had 9mm and .45 ACP and felt like I should have all three service calibers represented. I've shot it maybe twice. It doesn't do anything my other guns don't do better. Sometimes we buy guns for completionist reasons that make no practical sense, and that's okay,hobbies don't have to be practical.

I did the same thing with a caliber I barely shoot. It sits in the safe like a trophy to my own lack of self-control, haha. Do I need it? Nope, not at all. But does it make me happy to see my collection complete? Absolutely!
