It never hurts to experiment. Many larger gun stores hav a program in which you can rent a gun to see if you like it. Whats most impoortant is not type, or caliber, but what feels most comfortable to you. Thats the one you'll get out and practice with the most, and practice is critical. As Frank Galli put it, "Yo cant miss fast enough to win a gun fight. Get out and practice."
