My biggest lesson at the range

I went to the range last weekend feeling pretty confident about my shooting. An old timer next to me watched me struggle with my groups and casually mentioned my grip looked loose, it felt silly but I let him show me proper thumb placement and holy crap, my accuracy improved instantly...sometimes the basics bite you in the ass when you think you know everything.

Yeah, we learn every day, even out on the range. I’ve learned the hard way not to brush off corrections when they’re needed, it makes a world of difference once you swallow the pride

Those old timers have seen it all and they usually know what they're talking about. I'm more open to advice now after that experience.
